Policies - Digitization Policy
A goal of digitization is to provide true copies of the original E.B. Green photographs and ledgers for BECHS. Limited editing will serve that goal by removing blemishes on captured images that resulted from the scanning process. For example, the Digitization Team will minimize specks caused by foreign objects and lighting shadows or white-outs in Adobe PhotoShop. Misaligned images are straightened whenever possible. Other enhancement techniques, such as color adjustment, may be considered for access or printing copies of the images.
